About John Bixby

I’m an Internet enthusiast, tech whore, web analytics professional, and social media dabbler based in Seattle, WA. I recently relocated to Seattle after two great years as a consultant to start-ups and SMB’s in Southern California. Currently my day job is working as a Sr. Business Manager for WhitePages.com’s business search team, handling web & business analytics, reporting, financial forecasting, opportunity modeling, and even a bit of marketing-oriented website development and conversion optimization. It’s something of a lateral shift from my previous work and at times feels like I’m trying to drink from a fire hose, but it’s given me the opportunity to focus more closely on web analytics, data mining, and to finally put some of those finance skills I learned in business school to use. Plus the local search space is a hot one right now, and we’ve got some exciting things in the pipeline for 2011!
